Why our customers choose us

"Imperfect Foods is on a mission to eliminate food waste and build a better food system for everyone. To that end, it was important to us to select an organics hauler that follows the EPA's food recovery hierarchy. PreZero helps us divert ~32,000 pounds of organic waste every month for animal feed."

Responsible recycling

That benefits everyone involved

Zero-Waste won’t happen overnight. PreZero is where we start. PreZero operates on the idea that the circular economy is attainable through innovation & collaboration. A circular economy is an alternative to the traditional throw-away culture that has developed in our society. Instead, we give value to waste by thinking differently.

It is not enough to recycle in the traditional sense. At PreZero we like to say that we are PreThinking recycling because we build solutions at every step of the product lifecycle, not simply collecting recycling once it ends up in a bin. We generate added value by working together with top industry experts. Through collaboration, we can develop solutions for all valuable waste streams.

Why PreZero

Food waste going to landfills has a negative environmental impact (emits methane which is a powerful greenhouse gas). We take that food waste and instead, turn it into something positive.

We use the power of nature to fully integrate food waste into the circular economy. Instead of sending food waste to landfills, we are able to utilize it as animal feed which upcycles the waste and creates a closed-loop.

We also accept packaged food that may be expired or damaged and with state-of- the-art equipment, we separate the food from the packaging and make sure both materials are used to their full potential.
